Meet our Founder
Welcome to We Seek Care—a sanctuary for healing and support. I'm Alannah, and my journey after an abortion revealed how unsupported, and isolating the world can become when it comes to aftercare.
I found myself navigating my own recovery- physically and emotionally. The medical system's "end of care" when stepping out the clinic left me without the answers I desperately needed.
Through opening up about my own journey, I came to understand how closed the conversation is around recovery from all forms of pregnancy loss, including miscarriage and abortion. Through community research, I listened to the stories of other people. In order to create a human focused platform, rooted in what real women and partners go through, and the support they need.
I learned that our collective need for an understanding of our body, our mental health and an empathetic space to heal was an unspoken yearning shared by many.
Driven by a heart-centered mission to transform this narrative, I created We Seek Care not just as a platform, but as a community—a place where the silence is broken by the power of shared experiences and supported healing.
To bring this vision to life, I joined forces with an expert team of practitioners. Together, we combined a scientific and holistic care approach, to nurture you wherever you are on your journey.

Sascha Anna Vriend
Clinical Psychologist & Mind Body Therapist
‘As a mind-body therapist working with women of all ages, I have learnt that overwhelming physical experiences can disconnect women from their own bodies, estranging them from their sense of Self. When overwhelming or traumatic experiences happen in the body, blockages occur on a somatic level. The emotions can become “stuck” though muscular, visceral and physiological alterations. To heal, it is important for women to have a safe and containing space where they can release these blockages and reconnect to their sense of self-compassion, femininity, and vitality (life force!).’
‘Nowadays it is relatively common for women to seek help for fertility problems or sexual difficulties. However, the particular tabboo’s surrounding both miscarriage and abortion translate into a relatively small number of women actually knowing that these experiences are common, that there is help available and that they deserve to be supported.’
